Women government employees and pensioners can now nominate their children for receiving family pension.

Women government employees and pensioners can now nominate their children for receiving family pension, instead of their husband. However, this can be done only under certain circumstances. The Central Government has modified the CCS Pension Rules to this effect. Accordingly, such nomination can be given by women employees only if case remains pending against their husband, regarding divorce, domestic violence or dowry demands, at the time of their death.
