Upgrade the pay scale of Junior Engineer in BSNL at par with the Junior Engineer of the DoT.

Recently the DoT has released Recruitment Rules for the cadre of Junior Engineer. The educational qualification of the Junior Engineer as laid down in the Recruitment Rule is Engineering Degree like in BSNL. However, the DoT has given the pay scale of 35,400 - 1,12,400 to Junior Engineer cadre. But in BSNL, the Junior Engineer cadre pay scale is only 33,200 - 86,300, ie , NE 9 pay scale. BSNLEU has already demanded that,  Junior Engineer cadre  pay scale should be upgraded to NE- 10, which is 36,400- 94,500. However the BSNL Management has so far not accepted the demand of BSNLEU. Under these circumstances quoting the pay scale offered by the DoT, for the Junior Engineer cadre, BSNLEU has written letter to the CMD BSNL today, demanding that the pay scale of the Junior Engineer cadre in BSNL should immediately be revised to 35,400- 1,12,400.
