Secretary, Telecom likely to meet the AUAB on 02-11-2018 - At the same time, BSNLEU calls upon the employees to continue to prepare themselves for the strike.

It is informed by the BSNL Corporate Office that, a meeting will be held at 17:00 hrs on 02-11-2018, between Ms.Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Telecom and the representatives of the AUAB. The meeting will discuss the issues notified by the AUAB, for the agitational programme. It may be recollected that the AUAB had already informed the Secretary, Telecom that, the AUAB would go on strike, if the demands are not settled by 30^th November, 2018. 

The CHQ of BSNLEU wishes to state that it is a good development that a meeting is going to be held between the Secretary, Telecom and the AUAB. However, our comrades should not be under the impression that all the demands are going to be settled in the meeting to be held on 02-11-2018. It is our experience that, the DoT is sitting on the assurances given by the Hon'ble MoS(C) for the past 8 months, virtually not taking any action to implement them. Hence, our common sense tells that the employees should continue with all preparations for a strike, including an indefinite strike, to settle our demands of 3rd wage revision, allotment of 4G spectrum, payment of pension contribution on actual basic pay, pension revision and total implementation of the recommendation of the 2nd PRC on the superannuation benefits of the DR employees.
