The Modi government has fixed Rs.2.10 lakh crore as the target to be achieved through privatisation and disinvestment of the PSUs, in the current financial year. Out of these, Rs.1.20 lakh crore is to be mobilised through sale of PSU shares. The remaining Rs.90,000 crore is to be achieved through disinvestment in the Public Sector Banks and LIC.
