Resolutions passed in the BSNL Working Womenβs Coordination Committee (BSNLWWCC).
The BSNLWWCC meeting was held at RGM, CTTC, Chennai on 11.12.2021. After elaborate discussions, the meeting has passed the following resolutions.
- Strongly condemn the GMTD, Ludhiana, Punjab Circle for his misuse of official powers and his sexual harassments and his giving mental torture to the women employees.
- Demanding the CMD BSNL to take immediate action against the GMTD, Ludhiana, Punjab Circle in order to provide safety and security and to take action to always protect the modesty of women employees of BSNL.
- To represent the issue of women employees of Ludhiana, Punjab seeking immediate intervention and to take action against the GMTD, Ludhiana, Punjab, to the Secretary and Assistant Secretary of Telecom, Hon’ble Minister of the Union Government and Minister for state of Telecommunications, Women’s Commission, Prime Minister’s Office and to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
- Congratulate the AIC Members, CHQ-Circle-District office bearers, Employees, Pensioners and Contract Workers, for successfully conducting an enthusiastic Black-Badge wearing Demonstration on 8.12.2021, throughout the country, condemning GMTD, Ludhiana, Punjab and demanding immediate action by CMD BSNL.
- Ensure Sexual Harassment Complaint Committees in BSNL offices at district and circle level, as per the directions of Supreme Court and orders issued by the Union Government.
- Ensure separate toilets and dining rooms for women employees at work places in BSNL.
- Ensure safety of women employees at work places and at customer points.
- Ensure that DoP&T orders on Child Care Leave are followed properly, without inducting any new conditions and to address the DIR(HR) and the CMD BSNL, citing the order of Amritsar Administration with new conditions to deny CCL.
- Form district and circle level WWCCs before 31st January, 2022 in the circles of Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Karnataka.
- Observe March 8 International Women’s Day in a befitting manner, focusing the attacks on women and children and demanding safety and decent life for women and women workers.
- Condemn the arrogant taxation on petroleum products and cooking gas and on all essential commodities through GST, resulting high price hike, by the Union Government of India and demand to withdraw the high taxations.
- Mobilise and take maximum efforts to make the call of Central Trade Unions to conduct General Strike on 23rd and 24th of February, 2022, a grand success. Organise two on line conventions of women employees at North and South zones for the General Strike.
