Requests for transfers under rule 8 of JEs to the surplus circles - BSNLEU writes letter to the Director(HR) requesting to take a pragmatic view to solve the problem.

Transfers under rule 8 to the surplus circles, are being denied to the JEs. BSNLEU is persistently taking up this issue with the Management. DoP&T order says that husband and wife should be posted in the same station. However, even this DoP&T order is not being implemented in BSNL, to the circles which have been classified as surplus circles. Under these circumstances, BSNLEU has written letter to the Director(HR) today on this issue. BSNLEU has pointed out that, even among the surplus circles, some circles are having bigger surplus while some other circles are having smaller surplus. BSNLEU has requested the Management to take a pragmatic view and to consider requests for transfer under rule 8 of the JEs from circles with bigger surplus to circles with smaller surplus.
