Republic Day greetings to all. Long live the Republic of India. Long live the secular character of the Indian Constitution.

26th January, 1950 is the day on which the Constitution of India is born and India became a Republic. The Constitution of India is based on Mahatma Gandhiji's thought that, India belongs to the people following all religions, viz., Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism, etc. Thus, the Gandhian thought of secularism is the basis of our Constitution. However, today, the BJP government is taking all out efforts to change the secular character of the Indian Constitution. The CAA (Constitution Amendment Act) the NPR (National Population Registry) and the NRC (National Registry of Citizenship) being brought by the government, are nothing but to change the secular character of our Constitution. Prominent intellectuals of India and abroad have deplored the CAA, NPR and the NRC. Massive protests are taking place through the country against them. BSNLEU conveys it's warm greetings to all the comrades, as well as to all the people of our great nation, on this occasion of the Republic Day. BSNLEU also resolves to oppose the CAA, NPR and the NRC. Long live the great Republic of India. Long live the secular character of Indian Constitution.

गणतंत्र दिवस पर सभी का अभिनंदन। भारत का गणतंत्र अमर रहे। भारतीय संविधान का धर्मनिरपेक्ष स्वरूप अमर रहे...
26 जनवरी, 1950 वह दिन है जब भारत के संविधान का जन्म हुआ और भारत गणतंत्र बना। भारत का संविधान महात्मा गांधी के विचारों पर आधारित है जिसके अनुसार भारत सभी धर्मों का पालन करने वाले लोगों का देश है, जैसे  हिंदुत्व, इस्लाम, क्रिश्चन, सिख, बौद्ध आदि। इस तरह से गाँधीजी का धर्मनिरपेक्षता का विचार संविधान का आधार है। किन्तु, आज, BJP सरकार भारतीय संविधान के धर्मनिरपेक्ष ताने बाने को छिन्न भिन्न करने पर आमादा है। सरकार द्वारा लाए जा रहे CAA (संविधान संशोधन अधिनियम), NPR (राष्ट्रीय जनसंख्या रजिस्टर) और NRC (राष्ट्रीय नागरिक रजिस्टर) और कुछ नही, वरन हमारे संविधान के धर्मनिरपेक्ष स्वरूप को परिवर्तित करने का प्रयास है। भारत और विदेश के प्रतिष्ठित बुद्धिजीवियों ने   CAA, NPR और NRC की भर्त्सना की है। इनके खिलाफ देश भर में व्यापक आंदोलन हो रहे हैं।
