Providing relief to the families of Covid victims - online meeting held between Management and the Unions/ Associations.

An online consultative meeting between the BSNL Management and the Unions and Associations is held today, under the chairmanship of Shri R.K. Goyal, PGM (Pers.). The purpose of the meeting is to decide about the relief to be provided to the families of the BSNL employees, who had died due to COVID-19. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, BSNLEU, participated in this meeting and emphatically told that, providing Compassionate Ground Appointment to the family members of the Covid victims, is the only permanent solution. Further, he emphasised that, the Management should also make it’s contribution for providing relief to the victims’ families. After detailed discussion, consensus emerged for the deduction of one day’s pay, from the willing employees, for providing relief to the Covid victims’ families. The Management will also make equal contribution.
