Police attack on the workersβ struggle in Noida and NCR: BSNL Employees Union condemns the brutal repression and demands immediate settlement.
Workers across Noida and the NCR region have been continuously protesting against low wages, exploitation, repression, poor working conditions, and wage disparity. The workers have rejected the inadequate wage hike and are demanding a minimum wage of βΉ26,000, proper duty conditions, and full Trade Union rights. As per media reports, more than 40,000 industrial workers have been on protest since 13th April 2026, and the agitation has intensified with police clashes, road blockades, and incidents of violence across multiple industrial sectors following the State Government’s administrative action. This struggle has now emerged as part of a wider national movement for wage enhancement and against increasing exploitation of the working class. BSNL Employees Union extends its full support and solidarity to the struggling workers and strongly condemns the brutal police attack and repression unleashed by the State Government. The Union joins all Central Trade Unions in demanding that the government immediately resolve the issue through meaningful negotiations with the workers fighting in the industrial areas of Noida and NCR.
