Payment of IDA arrears – CMD BSNL announced it’s approval – But when arrears will be paid?

When the government announced freezing of IDA, only BSNLEU fought against it in the Hon’ble Kerala High Court. Everyone knows that, it is BSNLEU which got the Court order for payment of IDA from 01-10-2020 onwards. However, the CMD BSNL delayed the payment of this IDA arrears. Only yesterday, the CMD BSNL has announced that he has given his approval. Why he delayed the payment of arrears for such a long time, despite BSNLEU repeatedly knocked his door? Even now, no one knows when the arrears will be paid. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, met the GM(EF) and the GM(CBB) in the Corporate Office yesterday and discussed this issue. But, they could not tell when the amount will be paid. BSNLEU will continue to pressurise the Management for the early payment of the IDA arrears.
