Non-renewal of MoUs with the Canara Bank and the Union Bank of India – BSNLEU once again writes to the CMD BSNL..

The MoUs signed by BSNL with the Canara Bank and the Union Bank of India for the purpose of availing various loans by the employees, have already expired long back. BSNLEU has repeatedly approached the CMD BSNL and other important officers in the Corporate Office for the early renewal of the MoUs. However, the MoUs are not yet renewed. BSNLEU learns that, both the Canara Bank and the Union Bank of India are not willing to renew the MoUs. This is because, in the past, the BSNL Management did not make on time remittance of the EMI amount deducted from the salaries of the employees, to the banks. Under these circumstances, BSNLEU has requested the CMD BSNL to take up this issue with the Heads of the Canara Bank and the Union Bank of India for an early solution of the problem.
