According to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Mukesh Ambani has become Asia’s richest man. He has toppled China’s Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba Group. The total net worth of Mukesh Ambani stands at $44.3 billion and the total net worth of Jack ma stands at $40 billion. In this year alone, Mukesh Ambani’s net worth,has increased by $4 billion. While India has Asia’s richest man, the country also has world’s largest number of poor people. This is the result of the Neo-Liberal policies, being implemented in India from 1991 onwards. The rich becomes the richer and the poor becomes poorer.
