Modify the working hours in Sikkim circle keeping the adverse climatic condition - BSNLEU writes to the CMD BSNL.

Sikkim circle is located in the mountainous area. In winter, due to the onset of thick fog, the entire Sikkim circle becomes dark even by around 03:30 in the afternoon, as if night has befallen. Together with severe chill climate, movement of human beings becomes completely restricted after 03:30 pm in Sikkim circle. When there is no movement of human beings after 3:30 pm during winter, keeping the BSNL offices open upto 05:30 pm becomes worthless. This condition prevails in Sikkim circle from the month of December to the month of February. Keeping this peculiar condition into consideration, BSNLEU has written letter to the CMD BSNL today, requesting to modify the working hours during the months of December, January and February. BSNLEU has requested to modify the working hours as 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, instead of 10:30 am to 5:30 pm.
