Implementation of Health Insurance policy - amount quoted by the L1 bidder is very high - Corporate Office trying to bring it down.

As regards implementation of a Health Insurance policy for BSNL employees, both the Corporate Office and BSNLEU are taking serious efforts. Today, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, held discussion with Shri S.P. Singh, GM(Admin.), BSNL CO., and enquired about the progress of this issue. The GM(Admin.) reported that, all the four Public Sector Insurance Companies viz., The United India Insurance Company Ltd., The New India Assurance Company Ltd., The Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. and the National Insurance Company Ltd., have already submitted their quotations. However, the GM(Admin.) informed that, the amount quoted by the L1 bidder itself is very high. Hence, the Corporate Office is on the job of reducing the amount quoted by the L1 bidder. The response of the L1 bidder may be known soon.
