Immediately ensure BSNL's 4G launching and it's timely upgradation into 5G service - CITU writes to the Hon'ble Minister of Communications..

Recently, the private telecom companies have steeply raised their tariffs. In this background, the general public, as well as organisations which are interested in the welfare of the common people of this country, strongly feel that the government should strengthen BSNL by enabling the Company to immediately launch its 4G and 5G services. In this connection, Com Tapan Sen, General Secretary of the CITU, which is one of the main Central Trade Unions of India, has written letter to Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Hon'ble Minister of Communications. In his letter dated 5th July, 2024, Com.Tapan Sen has pointed out that, the non- availability of 4G and 5G services with BSNL has enabled the private companies to drastically increase their tariffs. He has demanded that, the government should ensure the immediate launching of BSNL's 4G service and also it's timely upgradation into 5G.
