Granting 1st promotion after 4 years, to the TSMs regularised after 01.10.2000.

Thousands of TSMs, who were regularised after 01.10.2000, were issued with ‘Presidential Orders’, due to the continuous efforts taken by BSNLEU. However, these officials were treated as DoT employees, so far as NEPP is concerned, and were given 1^st promotion only on completion of 8 years of service. Citing a court order, BSNLEU demanded that all these officials should be given 1^st promotion under NEPP, on completion of 4 years. Management agreed to this. However, the issue is not settled yet, due to non-receipt of the requisite input from circles. Hence, all circle secretaries are requested to take up this issue with their respective CGMs, and arrange to send to necessary inputs to the Corporate Office at the earliest.
