General Strike on 12th February, 2026 – Central Trade Unions Joint Convention in Delhi on 09th January, 2026.

The Joint Platform of Central Trade Unions and Independent Federations has called for a countrywide General Strike on 12^th February, 2026, against the government’s decision to implement the retrograde Labour Codes and other burning issues affecting the working class of our country. In order to make the strike successful and to organise a nationwide campaign programme against the government’s anti-worker policies, a National Workers’ Convention will be held on 09th January, 2026, at Delhi. In connection with the proposed strike and the charter of demands, a press statement has already been issued for the information of workers. As a part of the trade union movement in our country, BSNLEU will participate in the National Convention to understand the demands raised and the future course of action decided by the trade unions of the country.
