General secretary’s meeting with the Director (HR).

Com. P.Abhimanyu, GS,  met Shri Arvind Vadnerkar, Director(HR) today and discussed the following pending issues.

(1) Wage Revision

In the last National Council meeting itself, the Staff Side had strongly protested the attempts being made by the Management Side to cut down the already accepted pay scales of the Non-Executives. In today’s meeting, the General Secretary once again requested the Director(HR) to ensure  that, the Management Side respects the consensus already reached in respect of the pay scales. Further, he requested that, the Wage Negotiation should once again start and an agreement should be signed at the earliest, so that it can be sent for the approval of the DoT.

(2) TT LICE held online.

TT LICE  is held on 27-08-2023. The exam is held online.  It is reported by many candidates that, holding of the TT LICE online has created problems for them, since they are not conversant with computer operations. In today’s meeting, the General Secretary once again strongly argued that, the Management should review it’s decision to hold the TT LICE as an online exam.

(3) Harassment of the Ghazipur District Secretary of BSNLEU.

Ghazipur OA in UP(East) circle comes under Varanasi BA. However, an enquiry has been ordered against Com.Rakesh Maurya, Ghazipur District Secretary of BSNLEU, by the GM, Gorakhpur. This is clear violation of jurisdiction by the GM, Gorakhpur. The CHQ of BSNLEU has already written a detailed letter on this matter to the Director(HR). In today’s meeting, the General Secretary insisted that, the Director(HR) should intervene on this matter and nullify the enquiry that has been ordered by the GM Gorakhpur.

(4) Immunity from transfers - case of District secretary, BSNLEU, Vadodara.

In today’s meeting, the General Secretary, once again demanded that, the transfer order already issued to the District Secretary, BSNLEU, Vadodara, should be cancelled, since it is violative of the Corporate Office orders on Immunity from Transfers, granted to the Recognised Unions.

(5) Non-declaration of JTO LICE results in Punjab Circle.

The General Secretary once again stressed upon the need for the early disposal of the case lying pending in the Hon’ble CAT, Chandigarh.

The Director(HR) gave a patient hearing to all the issues and assured that, necessary action would be taken.
