Enthusiastic circle executive committee meeting of Karnataka circle..

An enthusiastic circle executive committee meeting of BSNLEU, Karnataka circle, is held at Mangalore yesterday and today. The meeting started yesterday with the hoisting of National Flag by Com.Gopal Pujari, District President, BSNLEU, Mangalore Telecom District and the Union Flag by Com.C.K. Gundanna, Circle President. The circle executive committee meeting is presided over by Com.C.K. Gunanna, Circle President. Com.H.V. Sudharshan, Circle Secretary, welcomed everyone. The presidential address is delivered by Com.C.K. Gundanna, Circle President. Com.H.V. Sudharshan, Circle Secretary, presented the report on activities and also the financial report. All the District Secretaries and Circle Office bearers participated in the deliberations. Com.Irfan Pasha, Treasurer (CHQ), addressed the session. Com.H.V. Sudharshan, replied to the issues raised by the executive committee members. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, addressed the meeting today. He spoke at length on 2nd VRS, hurdles being created by the government in BSNL’s 4G launching and the efforts being taken by BSNLEU to settle the Wage Revision. He also explained the steps being taken by BSNLEU to settle the revision of Transport Allowance and removal of the discrimination between the Non-Executive Promotion Policy (NEPP) and the Executive Promotion Policy (EPP). The General Secretary emphasised the need to organise and strengthen the contract workers union. He also explained about the steps being taken to successfully conduct the forthcoming 11th All India Conference of BSNLEU in Coimbatore. Immediately after the speech of the General Secretary, the executive committee members voluntarily announced their donations for successfully conducting the next All India Conference. It is heartening to note that, an amount of Rs.2,30,000/- is collected as donation for the All India Conference. The General Secretary heartily thanked all the comrades who generously donated. He also felicitated the comrades of Mangalore district with shawls and garlands, who had worked hard to make this meeting successful. The meeting came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Com.Gopal Pujari, District President.
