The Himachal Pradesh circle union of BSNLEU enthusiastically conducted it’s Circle Executive Committee meeting at Palampur. Com.Animesh Mitra, President and Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, participated in this meeting. All the circle office bearers and the district secretaries were present in the meeting. The Palampur district union of BSNLEU had made excellent arrangements for the meeting. Com.Rajiv Chandel, Circle President, presided over the meeting and delivered the presidential address. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, delivered the inaugural speech. He explained about the indepth details of the issues of non-settlement of Wage Revision, Pension Revision, the extreme sufferings of the employees on account of stagnation, inordinate delay in the launching of BSNL’s 4G service, the need for a new Promotion Policy, the threat of the 2^nd VRS, non-settlement of the issues of the casual and contract workers and the mindless outsourcing policy of the Management. Com.Animesh Mitra, President, addressed the meeting and explained about the anti-public sector and pro-private policies of the government. He insisted upon the need for organising a strong contract workers union. Thereafter, Com.Tara Chand, Circle Secretary, presented the report on activities. All the district secretaries and circle office bearers participated in the discussions and expressed their views on various issues. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, replied to the All India level issues raised by the comrades. Com.Tara Chand, CS, did the summing up of the deliberations. Finally, the President made the concluding remarks and declared that the Circle Executive Committee was over.
