Delay in the implementation of CAT orders, regarding wrong recoveries made from employees on account of wrong fixation – BSNLEU writes to the Corporate Office for early implementation of the order..

The Hon’ble CAT, Chandigarh bench, has delivered orders against the wrong recovery from the employees, on account of excess payment. The court has categorically ruled that, the wrong pay fixation has been done due to the carelessness and negligence of the Management and not due to any misrepresentation made by the employees. Further, the court has observed that due to the fault committed by the Management, with regards to wrong pay fixation, the employees should not be made to suffer the burden of the recovery.  The court has directed the BSNL Management to refund the amount recovered from the applicants within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the court order. However, the Punjab circle administration has referred the case to the BSNL Corporate Office seeking guidance. Today, the CHQ of BSNLEU has written letter to the PGM(Estt), Corporate Office, demanding immediate implementation of the court order.
