BSNLEU had a meeting with Shri A. Robert J.Ravi, CMD BSNL, yesterday the 28-10-2024, regarding cancellation of the JTO LICEs conducted in Punjab circle, for the vacancy years of 2015-16; 2016-17 and 201 7-18. Com. Animesh Mitra,President, Com.P. Abhimanyu, General Secretary and Com. Ashwin Kumar, Organising secretary (CHQ) participated in this meeting. Together with the CMD BSNL, Shri Kalyan Sagar Nippani, Director (HR) was also present in the meeting. BSNLEU leaders explained the complete background of this issue to the CMD BSNL. “When all the successful candidates of the JTO LICEs conducted in other circles for the same vacancy years are promoted, why the JTO LICEs conducted in Punjab circle alone were cancelled, questioned the leaders. They pointed out that, this decision of the Management has ruined the future of a good number of Non-Executives in Punjab circle. Further, the leaders requested the CMD BSNL to immediately declare the results of these JTO LICEs and also requested to promote all the successful candidates by creating supernumerary posts. However, the CMD BSNL rejected the proposal of the Union to create supernumerary posts. At the same time, he directed the Director (HR) to find out an alternative solution to this problem. BSNLEU will continue to discuss this issue with the Director (HR) to find an early solution to the problem.
