Covid-19 vaccine may be ready by year end – says WHO Chief.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organisation (WHO), has said that a safe and effective vaccine against the Novel Coronavirus disease may be ready by the year end. He has said that, nine experimental vaccines are in the pipeline of the WHO-led COVAX global vaccine facility. The WHO Director General also called for solidarity and political commitments by all leaders to ensure equal distribution of vaccines, when they become available.
