Casting votes in the 9th Membership Verification - BSNLEU writes to the Director (HR), demanding to sanction full day leave to the employees posted in far off places.

To enable the Non-Executives for casting their votes in the 9^th Membership Verification, the Corporate Office has issued guidelines stating that, half day leave would be sanctioned to the Non-Executives. However, consequent to the implementation of the VRS, the number of polling booths for the 9^th Membership Verification has been greatly reduced. Hence, employees have to travel a long way to cast their votes. In view of this, BSNLEU has written to the Director (HR) to issue fresh guidelines to the field units, for the sanctioning of full day leave to the deserving Non-Executives for casting their votes.
