BSNL’s 3rd Revival Package and launching of 4G / 5G services - BSNLEU discussed with the CMD BSNL.
President and General Secretary of BSNLEU met Shri P.K. Purwar, CMD BSNL, yesterday the 13-06-2023 and discussed about the key issues concerning BSNL’s revival.
3rd Revival Package and 4G/5G launching by BSNL.
The President and GS enquired about the details of the 3rd Revival Package, announced by the government on 07.06.2023 and also about BSNL’s launching of 4G & 5G services. The CMD BSNL informed that the 3rd Revival Package, involving Rs.89,000 crore, is purely for the allotment of 5G spectrum. As regards the status of BSNL’s 4G launching, the CMD BSNL stated the following:-
BSNL is purchasing one lakh sites for providing 4G service. All these onelakh sites are also 5G upgradable. 80% of these will be supplied by TCS and the remaining 20% will be supplied by ITI. The supply of these equipments will commence in October, 2023 and will take one year for it’s completion.
