BSNLEUβs contributions for the GTI scheme..
BSNLEU has greatly contributed for the implementation of a fruitful GTI scheme to the Non-Executives. It is known to everyone that, only due to the pressure put on by BSNLEU that, GTI has been implemented at least now. On 10.12.2020, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, spoke to the Director (HR) and expressed his extreme unhappiness over the delay in the implementation of GTI for the Non-Executives (visit BSNLEU’s website). As a result, on that day itself, Director (HR) appointed a Committee to negotiate the terms and conditions of the GTI scheme with the LIC. Only thereafter, things moved fast. Apart from this, the following are BSNLEU’s big contributions:
- The LIC had put a condition that, 70% of the Non-Executives should join this GTI scheme. Because of BSNLEU’s strong opposition, this condition has been removed.
- For the GTI of the Executives, the premium had been fixed as Rs.1.60/- per Rs.1,000/- (18 to 50 years age group). Whereas, for the Non-Executives this premium was proposed at Rs.1.80/- per Rs.1,000/-. BSNLEU strongly demanded that the premium for both the Executives and Non-Executives should be the same. This has also been accepted.
