BSNLEU organised successful online CEC meeting.

The Central Executive Committee of BSNLEU is successfully held online yesterday the 01-09-2023. Circle Secretaries and the CHQ office bearers numbering 50 participated in this meeting. Com.Animesh Mitra, All India President, presided over. The meeting paid homage to the comrades who have passed away, by observing a minute’s silence. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, welcomed everyone and presented the report on activities. He briefly explained on the actions taken by the CHQ to implement the decisions of the Bhopal CEC meeting. He also explained about the proposal of the Management to increase the Recognition period from 3 years to 4 years. All the comrades participated in the deliberations and expressed their views. The following decisions are taken unanimously:- 

1. The meeting appreciated the action taken by the Joint Forum, on the issues of Wage Revision, 4G / 5G and New Promotion Policy, but viewed that, speedy follow up action is necessary. 
2. As regards, donation to the Agricultural Workers Union, the meeting decided to extend time for collection of donations by one more month. The meeting further decided that, the donation will be handed over to the All India Agricultural Workers Union in a meeting to be organised at New Delhi.
3. As regards implementation of the decisions of the Mazdoor Kisan Convention held at New Delhi on 24.08.2023, the CEC meeting authorised the All India Centre to chalk-out an appropriate programme of action.
4. The meeting unanimously gave it’s approval for the extension of the Trade Union Recognition period, from 3 years to 4 years, as proposed by the Management.
5. Accepting the request of Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, to go on leave for 10 days from 10.09.2023, the meeting decided that, Com.John Verghese, Dy.GS, will function as the Acting General Secretary, during the absence of the General Secretary.
