BSNLEU CEC resolution on the non-declaration of JTO LICE results in Punjab Circle.

The JTO LICE results of Punjab Circle have not been declared for many years, as a result of which hundreds of candidates are suffering in that circle. This issue has been discussed a number of times with the Director (HR), BSNL, including in the formal meetings held in January, 2020, August 2020 and in June 2021. The intervention of the Corporate Office has not made much headway on this issue. Basically, this problem is the creation of the Punjab circle administration. The JTO LICE was conducted without carrying forward the unfilled vacancies of the previous exam. There after, the Punjab circle administration informed the Hon’ble CAT Chandigarh that, SC/ST reservations are not being followed in BSNL. Subsequently, the Punjab circle administration informed the Hon’ble High Court of Punjab that, being a Public Sector company, BSNL has to implement SC/ST reservation. Such contradictory stands taken by the Punjab circle administration is the root cause of this problem. The non-declaration of the results of the JTO LICE in Punjab Circle has inflicted severe loss to the Non-Executives, especially the Directly Recruited JEs. Hence this meeting of the Central Executive Committee meeting of BSNLEU, urges upon the Corporate Management to put in it’s best efforts, so as to ensure that the JTO LICE results are declared at the earliest in Punjab Circle.
