9th Circle Conference of BSNLEU, West Bengal circle held enthusiastically at Durgapur.
The 9th Circle Conference of West Bengal circle was held enthusiastically at Durgapur on 13th, 14th & 15th May, 2022. Excellent arrangements had been made for the Conference. Com.Anadi Sahoo, General Secretary, CITU, West Bengal, inaugurated the Conference. 130 delegates, among whom a sizable number of young comrades, participated in this Conference. Com.Banani Chattopadhyay, President, presided over the Conference. Ms. Madhu Arora, CGM, West Bengal Circle, addressed the Seminar titled “BSNL in the changing scenario and the challenges before it.” Leaders of AIGETOA, SNEA, AIBSNLEA, SEWA and SNATTA, also addressed the Seminar. Com.Animesh Mitra, Circle Secretary, welcomed everyone and presented the report on activities. As a tradition of West Bengal circle union, a very good women’s convention was held on 13.05.2022, in which Com.Koninika Ghosh, General Secretary, All India Democratic Women’s Association, West Bengal, was the main speaker. The delegates’ session was marked by active and rich contributions from the young delegates. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, addressed the Conference on 15.05.2022. In his address, the General Secretary explained how the government conspired and delayed BSNL’s 4G launching, due to which BSNL’s financial condition continues to be in a bad shape, as a result of which employees continue to suffer. The General Secretary exposed the handing over of national assets to the corporates by the Modi government, in the name of National Monetisation Pipeline. All the national level issues raised in the delegates session, were replied by the General Secretary. Ultimately, the Conference elected the office bearers unanimously.
