Membership Verification is the democratic exercise being conducted in BSNL once in 3 years, for granting trade union recognition. In the 9^th Membership Verification held yesterday the 12.10.2022, around 95% employees have cast their votes in most of the circles. In some circles, the polling percentage has gone even up to 98%. In some districts, like Surendranagar district in Gujarat circle, 100% polling has taken place. At the All India level, 94.59% employees have polled their votes. This is really a great feat, considering the fact that a sizable section of the employees are posted in far-off areas, after the implementation of VRS. Still, the employees have shown a great zeal to participate in this democratic exercise. BSNLEU salutes all the employees who have accomplished their democratic duty. The CHQ congratulates all the circle, district and branch unions of BSNLEU, in making the Membership Verification successful in all respects. Of course, the SR Branch of the Corporate Office deserves appreciation for organising the 9^th Membership Verification not only successfully, but in a “fair and free” manner.
