Today’s Economic Times newspaper has reported that, the deployment costs in telecommunications is to increase by 15% to 20% in the absence of Huawei and ZTE, which will ultimately hurt the customers. The ET has reported that Huawei and ZTE have been offering the lowest rates for telecom equipments. Now that the government has decided to avoid Huawei and ZTE, both of which are Chinese companies, the Indian Telecom Companies will become dependent on European vendors, viz., Ericsson and Nokia, besides South Korea’s Samsung. The ET has also cautioned that the 15% to 20% increase in deployment costs will ultimately heart the customers.
